This cookie policy explains what cookies and similar technologies FindPopups uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. We comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, which we also use to store your session and preferences locally. These technologies help us remember you between visits, keep the platform working, and understand how it is used.

Always onThese are essential for the platform to work. You cannot opt out of them. They do not collect any information that could be used for marketing. When you pay, Stripe's own payment page also sets cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud.

Support chat
Only when you open itVendor and host accounts can open support chat, run by Intercom. Nothing is loaded from Intercom and none of these cookies are set until you open it, and they are cleared when you sign out.

Marketing
Consent requiredWe use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how well our ads work and to build audiences for future ads on Facebook and Instagram. With this consent, Google Analytics may also record visits from Google ads. Set only with your consent, and cleared if you withdraw it.

Third-party (Google Maps)
Loaded when usedThe map view uses Google Maps Platform. When you load the map page, Google may set cookies on your device for fraud prevention and maps functionality. These are governed by Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Google Maps is only loaded when you open a map or start using a location search field, not on every page.
How to control cookies
Cookie banner: When you first visit FindPopups, you will see a cookie consent banner. You can choose to accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or manage your preferences. You can update your choices at any time.
Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the platform from working correctly. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.
Google Analytics opt-out: You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
